Great food, good atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. If you're around Woodley Park I recommend stopping in. Great food, good atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. If you're around Woodley Park I recommend stopping in.

Good food, good price, and friendly staff. Not a swanky place but a solid pizza joint. If you're in Woodley Park stop in you won't be disappointed. I had the meatball calzone and it was really good.

First things first. If you order online, use their website theitalianpizzakitchen.n… and you'll get $3 off. I used GrubHub, which worked fine but wish I'd known about the discount they were offering to order direct (it's on their pizza boxes). I was staying at a hotel nearby & needed some comfort food for dinner. Got a thin crust pizza & bread sticks. The pizza was just what I needed, & the staff were very friendly. If you're doing takeout like me, there's also a nice wine shop on the opposite side of Connecticut Ave.

It had been a while since we stopped in at IPK. What we had this time - Italian pizza and Italian panini - was nothing fancy, but chock-full of toppings and well-made. Prices are very reasonable, and the service was cheerful and attentive.

Close to the zoo, such a very yummy pizza place.  Wiggly-kid friendly, reasonably priced.  The pasta was so good, I ate the whole dish which never happens and my sons loved their pizza.  High quality ingredients, really delicious.  We'll be back!

We recently stopped at IPK for a quick dinner of pizza. The server was pleasant and fairly efficient, and the prices for the pizzas, calzones, and salads were reasonable. The pizza we had (salami and Kalamata olives) was just average in flavor, but IPK is still a good choice for a casual neighborhood restaurant.

Stopped in with three tires kids after a crowded trip to the zoo. We were greeted promptly, but that's where the customer service ends. The pizza was good, but our drinks weren't refilled a single time. I asked for Parmesan for our pizza, and finally went and grabbed it from the bar. I can be pretty forgiving if the place is busy, but it wasn't. The waiter and waitress on duty just seemed to not want to have their conversation interrupted with annoying requests like additional water or napkins.

This place had good pizza but it was pretty weird. For one thing, the staff looked confused to see anyone there, as the place was mostly empty. We sat outside and eventually someone ambled out to take our order. Limited options on the beer and wine menu, even more limited since some weren't available. But the prices were very reasonable and the pizza was good-I would have this again, but maybe just order delivery next time.

Jeff SApril 13, 2013Warm little spot for some bread sticks and pizza slices for the kids, meatball panini for the older one, and a hot dish of baked lasagna with meat. Unwind a little for a tasty slow meal with drinks.

An unassuming place makes fantastic sauce, pizza, lasagne and wings. Free delivery within a few miles. Perfect Sunday meal or casual date night. Nice outdoor seating.
